Harvest

Harvest.  Will finish later.  Hung out with cousin.  Rode in a tractor, combine, and gator. Lots of wheat.  Fun.  Pics out of order.

The 3 boys spent a bit of time playing in this dirt area with tractors and trucks.  It was a lot like being at home.  Alex in blue Cousin in stripes.

Together but separate.  Ben green

They played on the Gator.  Cousin and Ben

Cousin does a better job of looking and smiling at the camera.  My boys just keep on rocking.

Alex joined the party.  We were desperately trying to get a pic of all 3 of them together.  It didn't go so well.  I'll just post a bunch of the better ones.  You can pick out your favorite. (General you)

Digging for treasures

Alex looking pretty bored

This was actually taken at my house.  Alex eating Cody's Father's Day cake.  He was actually already in KS harvesting, but we managed to eat cake anyway.

On the drive down, I almost ran out of fuel.  I was doing okay until I hit a random detour.  It added like 40 miles on to my trip.  The farm is very far from anything.  I was pretty sure the boys and I were going to be stranded on the side of the road.  When I finally made it to a gas station, the van told me I had 31 miles to empty and my light was on.  Never mind the red light.  That just came on because I turned the van off and then on again to get a pic of the display.  The red light is usually not on.  I really don't like cutting it that close.

The first thing we did was drive out to the field so Cody could see them.  He was driving a combine.  Here is Cody carrying both of them over a fence to ride in the combine.

These area all pretty similar.  I played with the colors/brightness.  These were taken at night, so the pics were a bit off.

Moving the combine to another field.  Driving down the road.

The boys really wanted in the tractor.  Alex orange hat.

Ben pulling on the handle

It's amazing how quickly they can climb the ladder.

What it looks like in the driver's seat of a combine.

What it looks like crouched on the floor boards looking down through the window.  There is a nice big comfortable driver's seat.  Then there is a small not comfortable passenger seat.  Then there is a nice little spot on the floor when your 2 toddlers take the 2nd seat before you get in.  It was actually neat to sit there and see this up close and the bonus was a nice little a/c vent right by your head.  I would definitely sit there again. Let's just say the combine got pretty crowded with the 4 of us.  We rode like that for about 2 hours.  Eventually the desire to push buttons and turn knobs became too great and we had to get out of there.

What it looks like in action

Alex riding on Cody's lap in the combine.

This shows how fun it is to drive a tractor with 2 babies on your lap

Cody and Alex watching Cody drive a combine.  Alex literally fell in a random hole here.

They didn't have any clothes on because we were only going to drop grandma off at the field.  That turned in to a 2 hour excursion.  I probably should've realized it would turn out like that and just put them in clothes.  Ben was off leading grandma around.

Alex fell asleep waiting in a pickup in a field

Looking pretty cool in a diaper and boots.

The boys rough housing.  Ben dark blue.  Cousin light blue.  Alex green

Videos of the boys wrestling.  They did a lot of other stuff that i can't find on my camera.  There was more wrestling and chasing each other around the center island.  Who knows.  This is what I have for now.  Cousins.  The beginning of a wrestly relationship.

Alex.  Always fun to find toys in grandpa's shop.

They still enjoyed their cots. Ben

Cousin teasing Ben with a stick.  He was a little bummed when Ben caught it.

We had a good time.  We weren't there long.  Everyone was too busy to see us much.  The boys go to sleep before they got in and get up after they leave the house.  They were so overwhelmed and pooped I just let them have their binkies the entire time.  They don't usually use them so much.  Eh.  Crazy days.
