Cody's Pictures

Here are pictures that Cody has taken over the last couple of months.

Cody took the boys back to the farm without me for a funeral a few weeks ago.  It was last minute of course and I had a thing I couldn't cancel at home.   They did really well without me.  They've been talking about their visit nonstop.  Even today they talked to me for like half an hour about the giant combine and grandma bringing them hamburgers at the shop etc.  They got to sit in equipment and take rides on things.  Fun.

In a combine.  One of their favorite things ever.

Alex in red Ben green.  Playing with their pirate ship.  This is the deck we built.  Cody would say my biggest contribution is screws that are definitely not in straight lines.  And the bench on the right.

Cody took Alex to a doctor appointment in Omaha without me and Ben.  He took that opportunity to take Alex to the zoo.  He carried Alex like this through the entire zoo apparently.

New Tiny Town has a really good pool.  Well it seems nice for little kids.  I'd say 50% of the pool is right over here as a little kid area.  Good for now at least.  Cody has been taking them every night.  I hate pools.  Hate.  Hate is not a strong enough word.

When I was a kid, I had a bad reaction to chlorine and my eyes swelled shut.  Someone was leading me out of the pool and ran me in to a concrete pillar.  Another time a wasp got caught in my hair and stung me in my back.  Horrors.  To top it off you're hanging out in a giant pool of other people's bodily fluids.  It's basically a nightmare.  I wouldn't take a bath with those strangers, why am I swimming with them?

The first day Cody went, he ran in to all 3 of the other families on our street with kids.  So when he went the 2nd day I was like, "Man, I should really suck it up and go in the future."  Then Cody came home and told me a kid told him not to drink the water because someone threw up in it earlier that day.  Nightmare.

I did finally go yesterday.  It was not fun getting whistled at by 17 year old life guards every time my kid ran.... but still. It didn't seem horrible.

Cody has fun with them there.  Ben is starting to go under water on purpose.  They have a couple of slides, a spray area, and that waterfall thing.  It is usually pretty empty when he goes after work, but the boys usually get a chance to hang out with other kids.
